Christmas 2003 |
We started early this year. We put up the decorations in between two big snowfalls in early December. Its only the 15th, yet I already have a page going. Come with us while we celebrate this two thousand and third birthday of the Son. We look forward to the traditional ride through town to see the lights, the ride to our familys, the present opening, and the time away from our normal, day-to-day existance. You too can experience some of these great events here: |
Last year, Christmas 2002, you got to see our town's most famous decorated house. This year, I went out (not all out mind you, but out nonetheless). I put up about $70 worth of lights, wreaths, and snow representatives, all networked together with orange, heavy duty extension cords. Here's a view of the whole works at night. While not quite the light fantasia of our town's nuclear power load, its a start. And, it gets me in the spirt. |
Another thing that got us going this year was setting up the cute little village houses. At Christmas time, these little hard pottery houses, people and trees move into about five tables and surfaces around the house. This is one of my favorites - note the little hard glass tractor. |
Here's Frosty at night. He's pretty happy, as he has that big ole smile on his face, a bird in the hand, and a cage on his wrist. You can see how he grew from a Snowman embryo to his mature self in the Birth of Frosty. You can also see Frosty's Hybernation following the close of the season. |
The wonders of my life. This is wife and daughter. This was taken sitting in the house in which I was raised. I used those trellises behind them as ladders until I was 18. |
Santa gave me this stuff - disk envelopes, cable ties, toothpaste and SpeedStick (Unscented) and some marking tape. Man, what a take! |
This year, we got going on the Christmas well before the holiday week actually started. An example of this preparedness are to the right - Christmas Cookies. These are actual sugar cookies made from scratch with the dough chilled. This, according to some, makes the cookies set up better. |
Here's Micky planning out her year. Luckily, she can also calculate the total dollars her plans will take. |
Buster the Dog loves his present. Turns out it was a brush. He digs getting a brushing and a manicure - he gets them weekly. He really like's his sister Libby's hair rake. It does a fine job of ridding him of undercoat down. |
Here's the whole family hanging out at my Mother's house. My kid listens intently while my wife demonstrates how we met. Boy, am I lucky to have them!! |
Here's some other husband-side family looking down the barrel of a 1.3 MEGA pixel digital power camera. From right to left, Pop, Aunt C., Bro-Ba, and yo truely. |
Check out the tree. A bit blurry in this dark shot, but a tree none the less. Click Here to install Web-Smell so you can smell the delightful Frazier Fur scent of our real tree. |
For fear of creating too much excitement on one page, additional pictures of this most eventful Christmas are located on separate pages. After browsing through this main page, please feel free to continue the holiday review: |
Merry Christmas and a stressless, enjoyable Year of 2004! |
