Canada 2003 - Day 6 |
With two weeks advance notice (not
counting the two years that we have been considering this
trip), we set up our vacation to Canada. This site is
broken into three Experience sections: Canada Photographic Experiences - 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 Please select the Experience of interest and step into a dreamworld of Canadian Excitement like no other in this moment. |
Canada Day 6 - Aug 16 - St. John-to-Hartford, CN, USA: Our last day in Canada. We left our St. John Luxury Suites to head for St. Stevens on the border. In fact, we booked through the last part of Canada. Turn left for the USA. |
The customs place in the US side. Here, an Irishman looked inside the car, looked at our passports, asked us a bunch of questions and sent us on our way. |
Back in the good ole USA. Here we are at the site of Maine capitalism at its best. You can just make out the top of the boot behind the canoes. |
You too can now see the signature L.L. Bean boot. This one is the over ankle model. Imagine if your shoes were this big. Everytime you go to your closet, there'd be a bunch of little, old tourists posing next to your shoes. |
L.L. Bean has to move all that merchandise. I would have expected a bigger truck. But it sure is clean. This street was packed with northeastern hunters . . . bargain hunters (Ha Ha Hee Hee, Ha Ha Hee!!) |
Here's how they keep their stuff so clean. This is the special hand cleaner dispenser in the mens room of the L.L. Bean store. Can you believe it? Logo Hand Cleaners! |
Another view of the clean L.L. Bean store. This is the nature side. See the same tourists hanging around. It was a great experience, but I'll pay the extra bucks to shop from home. |
