Porkers at Clements Park Wildlife Refuge Canada Day 4- Aug 14 - Annapolis Royale-to-Windsor: Whewwww!! Glad to get out of our odifourous room in the Annapolis Royale Inn. First stop - wildlife zoo to clean out our cigarette smoke impregnated nasal passages. Here we see some sweet smelling little porkers.

Junior dressed and ready to tend the livestock. She looks especially happy, I think in large part to the cool pants and hat. Farmer Junior

Rudolph Here's a reindeer. Its not Rudolph since it has a black nose. I also think this one doesn't work for Santa - Its antlers are too high-drag and a too heavy head.

This is a bald eagle. It's not really bald. It has white feathers on its head, making it look bald. It is the national symbol of the United States. This one has a broken wing. Buzzards actually have bald heads, which make them pretty ugly, obviously unsuitable as a national symbol. American Symbol

Map of the Tidal Power Plant This is the map of the Annapolis Royale Tidal Power Plant. It makes power as the tides go through its turbines to fill and drain the river behind it.

Here is the entrance to the Tidal Power station. The downstairs is a tourist center for Nova Scotia. The top floor is the Tidal Station "How it Works" center. The turbines and working parts are all 20 or 30 feet below us where the river flows through the turbines. The Tidal Power Station

Delaps Cove Wilderness Trail This is the Delaps Cove trailhead map for the Charlies Trail and the Bohaker Trail. We took the Bohaker Trail..

Junior and I walking along the Bohaker Trail at Delaps Cove. In the background is the fishing boat race. One of them hailed us with his whistle. I was wearing my Pirate's Cove Whale Tour cap. Delaps Cove Wilderness Trail

Junior and I on the Bohaker Trail Junior stands ready to navigate the gorge to get to the falls on the other side. Luckily there was a trail already cut. She and I used sticks to help our footing.
